Spring is the season of awakening, new birth, and the reminder that summer is coming!!

As fresh produce comes in season, we exchange heavy soups and stews for Salads and Fresh Fruit.

Allergies flare-up in the springtime and in addition to antihistamines, water is going to be your best friend!

Skincare switches from heavier oils and creams to lighter oils, lighter skin creams, and more serums.

No Sad Salads

Spring means the arrival of a more exciting selection of produce at the Market.

Spring is a great time to start the No Sad Salad challenge.  What’s better than a fresh salad on a sunny spring day?!

My Favorite Non-Sad Salad from Trader Joes is the Kale Chicken Caesar Salad

Water and Claritin D for Allergy Sufferers

Years ago I read about how when we are dehydrated, our body’s histamine production increases which causes our bodies to trigger the same reactions as allergies…an antihistamine response if you will.

What do we take for allergies?  Antihistamines!

Water is one of our best preventative strategies for allergies!

Claritin D and Water work for me!  (To lend even more credit to the water antihistamine strategy for allergies, whenever I take Claritin…I find myself more thirsty.)

Fitness

My main advice is to Get outside for Spring Training!

It’s easier to be outside with more daylight and nicer weather.  Natural Vitamin D is a must especially for those with darker skin.

Spring is a perfect time to get involved in a challenge.  2021 I’m doing the 40 Day “Buns N Guns” challenge with Nicole Wilkins

L’Occitane Shea Fabulous Oil, $48

Since we’re going to be allowed outside again, it’s time to wear all those skirts and dresses that I haven’t worn in the last year.

I don’t need as heavy of oil in the spring for dry skin as I do in the winter so I’ve found this Shea Oil from L’Occitane oil does the trick.

The best part about this oil is that you don’t need much to make a difference.  It may seem pricey but it lasts a long time.

A little shea oil after a shower and before my regular body lotion works wonders for Dry Skin.
