The coldest winter I ever spent was summer in San Francisco – Mark Twain

Tis True…Our summer normally starts after Labor Day so I will most likely be updating this post until October.  LOL!

Favorite Summertime Beverages

Cheers to getting the Party Started

Simpler Wines, Trader Joes

I love these little wines!  They have such great flavors and they are great for a picnic or gathering with friends. My favorite flavors are Peach, White, and Mango.  They also have Rose wine.  Definitely an awesome Trader Joe’s find.

Bev Wine

After hearing an ad on one of my favorite podcasts, I was curious about these wines because they don’t have added sugar in them.  I have tried the Sauvignon Blanc and while a bit dry, I think they are refreshing and not overly sweet.  It’s a nice little treat if you’d like to have a glass of wine and you’re conscious of sugar.

I found mine at Target but they offer variety packs online.

As an added plus this company is woman-owned!

Cool Non-Alcoholic Drinks

Bundaberg Ginger Beer

It’s kinda like Ginger Ale for Grown-ups.  This is a fun drink to have at gatherings for people who don’t drink alcohol.  Sweet and Refreshing to have at your next Cookout and BBQ

Super Coffee

I avoid most Iced Coffee drinks because they contain so much sugar, fat, and calories.  I do like caramel flavor though so enter Super Coffee.

Super Coffee contains MCT Oil which is a good fat to keep you satisfied and provided Blood Sugar Crashes.  Speaking of Sugar, super coffee is sweetened with monk fruit which may not produce as much of an insulin spike as regular table sugar.

This is my Go-To Cold Coffee Drink for Hot Weather

Favorite Summer foods

Rainier Cherries

Trader Joe’s Strawberry Jalapeno Crisps

These crackers have a sweet kick to them!  I find that they are best with white cheese like Brie or even Mozarella!  Perfect with a glass of white wine.

Favorite Summer Beauty Items

Murad Vitamin C Line

I like to use this line in the summertime because I believe Vitamin C can help prevent skin damage, especially in the summertime. Yes, I know it doesn’t crack but sun damage can turn it into a California Raisin as well.  This line is especially good for those of us with Brown skin who may have hyperpigmentation (dark spots) from breakouts or even ingrown hairs.

I like to use the Cleanser, Serum, and Peel during the summer months especially when I’m going to be out in the sun.

Evian Face Spray

I have been using this since my early 20’s to set my makeup and I keep some in my makeup bag to refresh my face during the summer. I definitely use it to cool off my face when it’s too hot outside but this also works when you’re traveling.  Use it on the airplane when the air is dry and use it if you’re in a hot and dry place like Vegas.  Your skin will thank you for it!

Schick Hydro Silk Razors

I don’t know if this keeps the skin hydrated or not BUT I will say that there isn’t as much skin irritation. I keep wanting to try waxing for legs and underarms but haven’t gotten up the nerve yet so I’ll stick with these razors for the time being.

Dr. Teal’s Euclayptus Body Oil (Drug Store brand)

Love this oil because it smells so good and it’s not as heavy as other oils.  It’s great for keeping skin moisturized during the summertime.
