Which diet is the best?

How can I lose weight and keep it off?

This is the diet program that will finally work for me!

Several weeks later

I lost weight but then I gained it back. I just don’t have the discipline to stay on track.

What’s the point?  I can’t do it.  It’s hopeless.  I’ll just be fat forever.  My (parents, husband, friends, trainer, etc) was right about me. I don’t keep my commitments and I’m a failure.  I just can’t do anything right…including losing weight.

Does any of the above sound familiar?

The Voice

That second dialogue is courtesy of what Geneen Roth calls, “The Voice”.  It’s that negative voice inside of you who lies and tells you that you are not enough.  I named “The Voice” that talks to me.  She is Meltdown Meryl because once she gets going she can give a performance that rivals Meryl Streep.

Important:  The Voice is inside of you.  It’s not you.  The Voice could have gotten its lines from your parents, spouse, friends, religious leaders, etc.  The Voice is not you and The Voice is full of lies.

Marti, who is one of the ladies in our community, said it best:  “TELL THE VOICE TO SHUT UP”

I would like to share Marti’s experience with you because I think she illustrates why it’s so important to be in a supportive community with structure and why it is critical to make come from a place of kindness and self compassion when you decide to embark upon a journey toward health and vitality without dieting.

Participating in the Fiercely Fit community has been an amazing journey! I cannot believe it has been 8 weeks from where I started to where I am now.

Geneva’s coaching philosophy is genius! It is obvious that Geneva holds a Fierce vision for people she serves. I found myself in an emotionally drained, discouraged and overwhelmed place when Geneva invited me into her circle of women on a mission to be their own version of “Fiercely Fit.”
From the start, Geneva created a safe, fun and accepting space. Each week I had a new topic to focus upon. By focusing on small achievable goals and following a gentle yet clear structure, I began to develop a foundation of self trust and respect. This is a huge win!
The entire process was gentle and kind. I quickly knew the entire time I could confide in Geneva with my “wins” and even when I felt disappointment with the reality of where I was on my journey. Amazingly, my focus was continually  directed toward my wins and Geneva created the space for me to realize them on a frequent and on-going basis.
Geneva consistently leads with kindness, encouragement and humor I trust myself today and I trust Geneva because I know she is on a  mission to help those willing to embrace their Fierceness. I’m excited about the future in all areas of my journey! I can’t wait to know what she has next!  – Marti

Remember: Real Transformation is a continual process of growth and that can only come from a place of self compassion and kindness!
