Talking with Women We Love: Kathleen Gage

Kathleen Gage is the “no-nonsense, common sense” online marketing strategist, speaker, author, product creation specialist, and owner of Power Up for Profits.” Kathleen is known for cutting through the fluff. (YES!)

I met Kathleen at an event and she shared with our group that she ran her First full Marathon at age 61, her second at 62, and is doing a Half for her 63rd birthday.

On What it Means to THRIVE in life and where she gets her passion from

Thriving in Life means to enjoy life. Kathleen got her passion in life because she hit rock bottom 30 years ago. She was homeless and addicted to drugs. She realized she had been given another chance and decided to make the most of it.

How we can continue to be passionate as we get older

EXERCISE!! Write a daily gratitude list, get out and help someone else, and surround yourself with people who want better in life. If someone thinks they are too old and has lost their passion for life, then Kathleen says to: GET OVER IT!!

On her Marathon Experience

Kathleen did it to stretch herself. She said that when she first got out to run races she thought, “I don’t belong here” but she forced herself to walk through that discomfort. She admits she was the last person in and you have to hear why that happened….

Making the time for exercise

As I mentioned, Kathleen is an extremely successful business owner along with being a passionate animal rescue advocate. She leads a busy life and when I asked how she has time for exercise she said simply, “I make the time. I schedule it. I know I won’t have as much energy if I don’t exercise”. She wants to have enough energy to enjoy life.
