I’m not the next Michael Phelps or Usain Bolt. I’m the first Simone Biles.
How about that????
Going into the Rio Olympics it seemed to be a foregone conclusion that Simone Biles would win the All Around Olympic Title and cement her status as the best gymnast of all time.
She did it.
Simply the Best
Not only did she did do it but she did it and left no question about whether or not she is the greatest to ever do it.
From Yahoo Sports:
She won by 2.100 points, beating American teammate Aly Raisman by the largest margin ever under the current scoring system. It more than tripled the Olympic mark of 0.6 courtesy of Nastia Liukin in 2008 and far exceeded a 1.25 gap rung up by Shawn Johnson at the 2007 world championships.
In a League of her own
Simone Biles has won 3 Consecutive World Championships and part of what makes her so unbeatable is that she starts off her routine with a high level of difficulty that others cannot do.
Simone has said that she’s sacrificed all the typical teenage activities such as: Prom, Dances, Parties, etc. but it all has to be worth it when you not only go out and win but win in such dominating fashion.
There is a strong possibility that Simone Biles could leave Rio with 5 Gold Medals. That would cement her legacy for sure in the sport of gymnastics and the sports world period!
