You need to be consistent
If we listen to the marketers and sales people, then all we need is the ONE magic product or program that will change our lives forever and we will never have to do anything else.
We soon learn that is indeed a lie.
More than anything else what will cause us to be successful is consistency. We must keep on keeping on even when we don’t feel like it and even when we don’t seem to be getting the results we want.
Last week we talked about establishing routines and systems for success.
This week Focus on being consistent with those systems and routines.
Here’s a piece of advice: Don’t Overdo it.
Your routine should be sustainable and something you can commit to. Avoid the displays of massive effort that people love to brag about on social media or in social settings.
The key to success is CONSISTENCY
Stopping and starting will waste valuable time. It’s much better to make SMALL changes that you do CONSISTENTLY over time rather than dramatic changes that you will give up within 2-3 months.
I recommend 10 -30 minutes every morning to read/journal/review your goals. (I use the Best Self Journal for this)

List 3 Actions you can be more consistent with for each of your goals
Productivity Tips
Schedule your To Do List into your calendar
Don’t get on social media or read email first thing in the morning. Tend to YOU first
Close off Social Media while you are working on a specific task
Choose 5 Important things to GET DONE during the day that will propel you to your goals
Develop systems for boring and mundane tasks so they don’t pile up
I heard that quote on the Todd Durkin Impact Podcast and it really resonated with me.
Why don’t we like to celebrate consistency?
It’s boring
I’ve had to check myself about this. Often times it’s those same boring things we do every day that bring us the most success.
It’s not exciting to talk about doing the same things over and over again. We always think there is a big secret or the quick fix.
Hearing that we need to be consistent in our habits and do things over and over again isn’t the most exciting.
Rather than the flash in the pan moments of greatness. Let’s learn to be consistently good.
It may not be the most exciting and get the most fanfare but it’s what will give us the most success.
