How do you gain momentum?
You need a System
Being self-employed, I learned early on that the way to success is to develop systems for getting things done.
Without a system, it is easy to lose track of what needs to be done and where your attention needs to be.
You need a system and routine THAT WORKS FOR YOU in order to ensure success
How you START and END your day makes a difference
I recommend 10 -30 minutes every morning to read/journal/review your goals. (I use the Best Self Journal for this)
Getting More out of your day
Productivity Tips
Schedule your To Do List into your calendar
Don’t get on social media or read email first thing in the morning. Tend to YOU first
Close off Social Media while you are working on a specific task
Choose 5 Important things to GET DONE during the day that will propel you to your goals
Develop systems for boring and mundane tasks so they don’t pile upHere are examples of some of my Systems
Big Picture
The Annual Strategic Roadmap: I fill this out in January and write out some of the big goals I’d like to accomplish during the year. I also review what worked and what didn’t in the previous year to gain a better idea of what I can do differently in the coming year.
Month to Month/Day to Day
I select 5 Big Goals every month to work toward and if I don’t accomplish it that month, it rolls over to the next month until I accomplish it or decide it needs to go.
I have a Weekly Big 5 that I use to decide what needs to get done and the same system applies: It rolls over until it’s done or off the list.
