25% of 2019 is History

Hard to believe but we are one-quarter of the way through 2019.

As I’ve been talking to people, some are disappointed because they don’t feel like they’ve accomplished enough to start the year.

Their health goals went out of the window
Their financial goals got off track
They aren’t moving forward with their lives.

What these people and most people are missing is a plan.

You cannot expect change and progress by being inconsistent, dabbling, and not tracking what you’re doing.

Every year I create my own personal roadmap where I write about my goals for the year, what I Want to work on, what I hope to learn and the results that I am looking for.

As I review my progress for 2019, I’m nowhere near where I would like to be but I am making progress toward my goals.  I’m checking my benchmarks and seeing where I need to perhaps change directions or scrap what is not working.

This is how I work with my clients.  We have an overall vision for the year, roadmap, and weekly action items.  After each quarter is completed, then we’ll review:

  • What Went Well
  • What needs an upgrade
  • Next Steps forward.

Show up and Do it Afraid

My personal theme right now is to Show up and Do it Afraid.  I’m challenging myself in different areas of my life and I would talk myself out of it by saying, “I can’t.  I’m too afraid.”

I tell myself that I have to at least show-up and then DO IT AFRAID.
