This honestly has been one of the better programs that I have followed.  I will tell you that I haven’t been a stickler to the program but I’ve followed along and tried a lot of the new recipes.  This has been just the thing I needed to get my Fall 2017 Sprint going.

When Rachel does the program at her gym she does 8 weeks.  This book calls for 12 weeks. I see myself completing the 8 weeks and then mixing in another type of program with it.  I will most likely keep the nutrition the same.

More of a Plant based Program

What I have really liked is the emphasis on plant based eating.  Sometimes I only eat meat for one meal out of the day.  If you’ve ever followed any kind of fitness diet, then you know that they are heavy on the meat.

For health reasons, one of my goals was to eat less meat and this program is helping me to do that. I still meat but just not as much as before.

I think this is a great switch for people because you become focused on eating more vegetables.

Veggie Challenge

Speaking of eating more vegetables, I am doing a veggie challenge and it has been one big fail. This has been the worst challenge I have ever done.  I don’t get five fistfuls of vegetables.  I eat salads and vegetables with dinner but still not five fistfuls.

Definitely there is room for improvement.

Workouts

What I like about these workouts as I’ve said before is the fact that mobility is worked into the workout.

As you know I’m a big believer in Stimulate don’t annihilate and while sometimes it’s fun to go hard and heavy for a training cycle, I also think that you need to have times where you back off and focus on flexibility, lighter weights, range of motion, and conditioning.

These workouts get me sweating and my heart pumping because I’ve changed it up a little bit by doing four exercises in a row (Quadplex) with little to no rest.

Early Results

Pants that did not fit last year are now in the rotation.  I’ve got a few pair that will really tell the story of my progress.

I have not stepped on the scale nor will I step on the scale until after I complete the 8 weeks and maybe not even then.

The pants fitting will tell the real story!
