There are so many names for sugar! “- Grace P
We also found out how much sugar so called healthy items have in them.  Someone found out that their “healthy” smoothie had 92 grams of sugar!

Avoid foods that have “Health Halos”

Health Halos are manufacturers way of advertising a food as something essential to health or promoting health and Vitality when a lot of the time it’s really a whole lot of nothing to get you to buy the product which we do because who doesn’t want health and vitality!

Another issue with Health Halos is that people end up eating MORE of the food because if a little healthy is good…A LOT of healthy is much better.

Up the Protein Intake

Make your own Dressings and Rubs

This was a great reminder from Gloria:  Salad Dressings, BBQ Sauce, and all of these other condiments have lots of added sugar.   You are better off making your own dressings (it’s easy to do) and rubs!
