The habit Thuy chose to focus on was Menu Planning and Food Preparation. She also focused on eating 3 Meals per day consistently.
Thuy’s story:
I followed the ‘3 meals a day’ tip as well as focusing on eating when hungry! I was used to following rigid schedules and eating when I wasn’t hungry, this allowed me to become more intuitive with my body and it was okay to eat lunch hours apart from breakfast!
My mentality about eating and allowing myself to have three meals a day is definitely a breakthrough. It has allowed me to become comfortable with nourishing and viewing food as fuel and no longer punishing myself! I no longer feel pressured by my own mind with reaching a certain goal by this date etc, instead I take it one day at a time and am forgiving myself when mistakes happen.
Changing up my recipes and trying new foods has helped me follow through with my habit. Eating healthy is not boring! It does not have to be chicken breast, asparagus and brown rice 5x a week! Eating different meals and substituting them to your preferences will produce long term results, in effect, this has helped me develop a healthier relationship with food and no longer ‘fearing’ them!
I learned from this program to embrace that everyone is different. That includes progress, program, lifestyle.
The best thing to do is to embrace what applies to YOU, what works for others may not apply to you and the most sustainable results come from doing what’s best for yourself!
